Micro Masterpieces Fundraiser

About this event
Small Art – Big Cause! Rancho Cordova, CA — Rancho Cordova Arts proudly announces the 8th Annual Micro Masterpieces Fundraising Auction, taking place online June 8–13, 2026. This beloved community event raises critical funds to provide art supplies and creative resources for Transitional Kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms throughout Rancho Cordova. The online auction can be viewed and participated in at: https://www.32auctions.com/mmrca26 Now in its eighth year, Micro Masterpieces has become one of Rancho Cordova Arts’ most impactful annual fundraising initiatives. Featuring original donated artwork from local and regional artists, the auction directly supports teachers and students by helping place art supplies into classrooms where funding for arts education is often limited or nonexistent. To date, Rancho Cordova Arts has raised more than $85,000 through this annual fundraiser, allowing hundreds of teachers to bring meaningful creative experiences to students across the community. “Many elementary and middle school teachers who want art in their curriculum are personally paying for supplies out of their own pockets,” said Rancho Cordova Arts. “We believe all children deserve access to art education regardless of zip code, school budget, or family income.” The nonprofit organization’s 2026 fundraising goal is $25,000, which will be used to purchase and distribute art materials directly to participating schools and educators serving Rancho Cordova students. Research consistently demonstrates the importance of arts education in child development and academic achievement. According to the National Endowment for the Arts, students involved in the arts are more likely to demonstrate higher academic performance, improved attendance, and increased civic engagement. Additional studies have shown that arts education strengthens problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking abilities. Art education also plays an important role in social and emotional development. Through creative expression, students learn resilience, communication, empathy, and confidence while developing healthy ways to process emotions and experiences. In an increasingly technology-driven and rapidly changing world, creativity and innovation remain essential workforce and life skills. “Art is not an extracurricular luxury,” Rancho Cordova Arts states. “It is a fundamental part of a well-rounded education that supports emotional growth, critical thinking, and human connection.” The Micro Masterpieces auction features small-scale works of art donated by artists who support the mission of ensuring equitable access to arts education. Community members, businesses, collectors, and supporters are encouraged to bid on artwork and contribute to the effort of keeping creativity alive in local classrooms. Every dollar raised helps provide paint, brushes, paper, clay, markers, drawing tools, and other essential supplies that enable teachers to integrate art into daily learning experiences. Rancho Cordova Arts invites the community to participate in the online auction, share the event with friends and colleagues, and support the next generation of creative thinkers.
